This interview gave me insight into the film industry, how to make films and how a film festival works. John also gave me recommendations of films that are good from a film making perspective. I featured a clip of his recommendations in the introduction episode of 'How to become a film nerd (in 30 days)'.


Social media primary research:

I posted a short Tiktok where I explain what I am doing for my documentary and then ask for movie recommendations. I got a response.

I got the response to watch 'Fight Club', and 'Werewolf by night'.

This interview was very insightful, as they told me about what being a 'cinephile' means to them and gave me recommendations, aswell as talking about how they hold cinema events for fans. The footage from the interview is featured in the conclusion episode of 'How to become a film nerd (in 30 days)'.
