Trackside Rachel is the name for my social media sites primarily about motorsports. I started these in 2023 and posted content like race highlights, talking videos and promotion of my short documentary 'Dare to Drive; A Woman's Race'. I stopped posting on this account in late 2024, and as of 2025 I am moving towards my other social media under my name @rachelemilyeaton to focus on all my interests and promoting myself as a presenter and aspiring actress, creating a brand for myself surrounding my goal to create my own films in the future. I want to have front-facing profile that will help me connect directly with people in the film and Tv industry instead of focusing on one particular interest. This decision came with great consideration and a desire to showcase myself in full rather than just through one interest. Posting on my Tik Tok account as Trackside Rachel taught me a lot of about creating content for social media, and how it can be used to connect with an audience and potential employers. It was a great experience and will influence the future content I make on social media. What I also learnt is that I am not able to keep up with the massive stream of rapid information that occurs on social media and prefer to work on slower higher quality projects like films, so I made a decision to focus on this rather than continue posting regularly on Trackside Rachel. Motorsports are still a massive passion of mine but not something I want to make a career out of. I am dedicated to creating my own original content and sharing my array of passions with an audience that is engaged with me as a brand. I am thankful for the support of my audience on Trackside Rachel and hope that they will follow me on my future endeavours. I admire the creativity and undying passion of the motorsport content creators and journalists, especially the young female community that I found myself in.
